The perfect cast iron meal…steak and smashed potatoes! This meal is a regular at our home and I hope if you’ve never tried a steak in a cast iron steak that you will! Also, these potatoes are the perfect pair, easy to make and will be your new favorite side. I’m willing to bet a homegrown ribeye on that. Enjoy!
	
	
	- 4-6 Red Potatoes can use white potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Butter
- Shredded Cheese cheddar or colby jack are great options
- Bacon Bits
- Toppings of Choice : Green Onions Chives, Sour Cream
- How to cook Smashed Potatoes 
- Wash and dry potatoes, place on a microwaveable plate and microwave for 10-12 minutes until fork tender 
- Drizzle small amount of olive oil in cast iron skillet, place potatoes on top 
- Smash each potato with a potato masher until flattened 
- Drizzle more olive oil over potatoes 
- Top with cheese and bacon bits 
- Broil until cheese is melted 
- Top with sour cream, chives or green onions 
- Devour!
