Cast Iron Steak & Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4-6 Red Potatoes can use white potatoes
  • Olive Oil
  • Butter
  • Shredded Cheese cheddar or colby jack are great options
  • Bacon Bits
  • Toppings of Choice : Green Onions Chives, Sour Cream

Instructions

  • How to cook Smashed Potatoes
  • Wash and dry potatoes, place on a microwaveable plate and microwave for 10-12 minutes until fork tender
  • Drizzle small amount of olive oil in cast iron skillet, place potatoes on top
  • Smash each potato with a potato masher until flattened
  • Drizzle more olive oil over potatoes
  • Top with cheese and bacon bits
  • Broil until cheese is melted
  • Top with sour cream, chives or green onions
  • Devour!
