Granny's Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 10 canned biscuits
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • ½ tsp apple pie spice Can substitute pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups chopped apples

Instructions

  • Roll out each biscuit and fill with finely chopped apples. Pinch edges together to seal.
  • Place biscuits seam side down in buttered baking dish.
  • Combine sugar, spice, water and butter in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Pour liquid over biscuits, sprinkle tops of biscuits with sugar and pat of butter if you like.
  • Bake at 350 until brown and bubbly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
