It may take google to tell me how to spell stroganoff, but I can tell you this recipe is simple and GOOD and that’s really all that matters. I used beef tips, because beef tips can be hard for me to find more than one or two good uses for, but you could also use beef stew meat (cut up) or sirloin steak. Really any beef cut in thin strips will work! Watch video to see how I put it all together (and how it worked well even missing a few “key” ingredients – unless you don’t like mushrooms, and in that case, it’s perfect. ) Now go get your stroganoff on!
Musket Powder seasoningor choice of steak seasoning or Seasoned Salt
All Purpose flour for dusting
Instructions
Cut beef tips into bite size strips (if needed), dust with seasoning and flourSaute onion, garlic and mushrooms in olive oil and butter
Remove from pan, add more butter and saute beef strips
Once beef strips are done, add back onion mixture, along with beef broth and cream of mushroom soup. Saute until mixture becomes thickened, stir to keep from sticking
(If needed add a dusting more of flour to mixture to thicken)
Once gravy is thick, add sour cream at end and serve hot over egg noodles or mashed potatoes

If you’re short on time, try making stroganoff with ground beef. The flavor of the sauce really melds with the beef.
