It’s easy to feel small.
Lost.
Unimportant.
I know. I’ve been there. That voice in your head that says your voice doesn’t matter. Your story isn’t “important” enough to share. Someone else is doing a better job than you could. So why bother?
Because that’s a lie. That’s why.
The thing is, we all have influence.
We all have a story and I promise you nobody else has yours. Nobody else has your voice. Nobody else can share what you can share, because you’re the only you. And thank God He made us all uniquely us. How boring would the world be if we were all the same? Cliché maybe, but true.
I don’t know who needs to hear this, but someone does. So I’m going to use my one small voice in a sea of others to say it.
Own your voice.
Own your story.
Own your why.
You matter.
Your story matters.
You are enough.
May is Mental Health Awareness month and I want to encourage you to share what’s on your heart to share – most likely someone else needs to hear it. Will everyone like it? Maybe not. Will someone relate and need to know they aren’t alone? Most definitely.
I’ve said this before, and I reckon I’ll keep saying it. Because it’s part of my story and I believe someone else may need the reminder to believe in their own.
xx,
Thank you for the inspiration!
Mental health month.
My heart…. it hurts, feels empty and lost. It also finds hope in Salvation. Hope for the good times and hope for strength when times are hard.
A soon to be 50 year old woman, married 32 years and a mother of 4 now adults,
many things in my life have changed making me not recognize this person, my body, my marriage, my place in life, my personal goals. The seasons have changes once again for me, But everyday when I open my eyes still on this earth, I know God chose to keep me here going another day. That is enough. So, I go on in hope that I fulfill what He intended for me to bring glory to Him. I FAIL ALOT. But, sometimes I get it right and that is enough.
I do feel empty and lost in many ways but, I know I am still here still in the lives of my people, on this property trying to learn to love something that has taken as much as it has given. My life has been wonderful and hard. Changed hats about a million times and probably a few more hats to come. My story is a mess but it’s my mess and God’s guiding me through it. That is enough.
Thank You 🙂
Thank you so much for the joy you remind me of that can be found in farming. I too often look at the broken, things we don’t have, and get negative too often. I"m praying the LORD will help me get out of this rut and remember the good things! GOD is the best driver in our life and thank you so much for being willing to share your life story with us.
Hi Meredith,
Thank you for the reminder that we all matter! Sometimes it is so easy as wives & mommas, to forget that we are special too! We always put our families first. And yes, I do believe it is a privilege to be a wife and momma! We do tend to put our families’ needs before our own. I believe that is called love! And speaking of love,
God made us individually and uniquely.
He knows each and every one of us.
WE are HIS beloved!! Isn’t that awesome and wonderful??!!
Thank you for shining God’s love in our lives with every post, YouTube or blog you share with us!
God bless you and your family!

Spot on, many years ago a self-made millionaire told me that he always gave time for anyone’s view as even the dullest person had a voice and opinion and shouldn’t be overlooked. He employed guys that others wouldn’t give the time of day to. His words stayed with me and I adopted his attitude. Wise words in a crazy world where celebrity image seems everything. Keep sharing, keep listening, it costs nothing and can make someone’s day. Please say hi to Lawrence, he’s a star! Your farm is probably nearly as big as the island I live on!
God bless you all, Martyn
