That one day I got a wild, floured hair to do an impromptu video with my iPhone on how my sweet friend Denise had recently taught me to make biscuits. I never thought I could…or would…or should. Because I’m as imperfect in the kitchen as I am in life and I had this idea that making bread is all about being perfect. Whew – what a relief to know I was WRONG! Biscuits don’t have to be perfect to taste (and look) like biscuits, y’all! This is empowerment to all the women in the land like me (Heaven help you if you are a lot like me, but even if you are…there is hope!)
“Oh Lard-y”…this speaks for itself. Enjoy. And then go make your own biscuits. And enjoy. 🙂

Hi Meredith! I enjoy cooking, but could never make a biscuit, good or otherwise. I saw you make these in a video, and I thought I’d give them a try. Wow! First attempt was a success! I’ve now added them to my menu plan quite regularly. Made them last night with some chicken soup and shared our meal with my 89 year old, recently widowed Dad. He loved them!! thanks for all the ways you share yourself with the world!
This makes me so happy to hear! I’m so sorry for your loss, sending love to you and your family. xx, mb
